BY JOLT Staff · Nov 1 2026 · 1 min readJason Dungan and Johan Carøe released Routine on October 30. The two Copenhagen-based composers built the album by passing musical fragments back and forth, letting the material move between them rather than writing in one room. Dungan records under the name Blue Lake.
Routine is ambient folk shot through with electronics: acoustic instruments, synthesized parts, and Dungan's self-designed 36-string zither, a setup that puts a lot of strings at the center of a quiet record. The Spotify embed is live now for anyone who wants to hear it before reading another word about it.
No tour dates are attached to the release, and no label is named for it. The album is out and circulating.
