Johanna Warren shares "Islamorada," with Chris St Hilaire of the Black Keys
The Florida-born, Wales-based songwriter released a new song on September 17, with pedal steel from Marissa Nadler collaborator David Rothon.

The track carries credits outside it: Chris St Hilaire of the Black Keys on electric guitar, and David Rothon, who has played with Marissa Nadler, on pedal steel. That is a heavier room than Warren's 2020 song "Twisted," the apex of her crushing ballads.
Warren, Florida-born and based in Wales, framed the song as a wager on wanting out loud. "It feels weirdly radical to be an adult woman in 2026 simply saying I want you, I love you, I would take care of you, please let me try," she said. "Which, yeah, puts you in a vulnerable position, because you might not get what you want, or you might get called cringe."
