Krill announce Secret Language, their first album in a decade

Krill will release Secret Language, their first album in more than a decade, on 11/13 via Exploding In Sound. The band shared the lead cut "Dominate" on September 22. Pre-orders are open now.

Krill formed out of Boston in the early 2010s and broke up in 2015. They played together once more, at peers LVL UP's farewell show in 2018, before three of the four members started Knot, a long-distance project that put out an album during the pandemic. This version of Krill, Jonah Furman, Ian Becker, and new member Andrew Clinkman of Moontype and Spirits Having Fun, is based in Chicago. Over the summer they returned to recording with the single "Commemorative Plaque."

In a statement, Furman describes "Dominate" as a song about war and basketball and childhood, and about how American television sells children on the idea of ruling others. Will Greene plays the sax on it. The nine-song tracklist reaches an end in "Theme From Krill 2." No tour dates are announced.
