Lydia Loveless announces Accolades EP, shares title track

Lydia Loveless will release a new EP, Accolades, on October 30 via Bloodshot. The title track arrives now, in a new version, alongside a video. Pre-orders are open.

The Columbus country-rocker last put out a full album in 2023, Nothing's Gonna Stand In My Way Again. Last year she posted a run of writing-challenge tracks to Bandcamp, including an early "Accolades." Most of those, the title cut among them, have since been taken down. The EP includes two different versions of the song.

It was recorded in Memphis, co-produced by Loveless with Matt Ross-Spang, who also engineered. "The heart of 'Accolades' is trying to return to a place of quiet observation and meditation," Loveless said. "The deep dark hole being more a place to sit and think about motivation for doing things as opposed to a place to wallow."

Nothing else from the EP is out yet. Accolades lands October 30.
