Nekra drop first EP in six years, eight minutes long

Nekra have released Is It Really Living?, their first EP since their 2020 debut. It came out August 28 on La Vida Es Un Mus. Five songs, eight minutes: a hardcore runtime with no room to waste.

The London band have been active for close to a decade. Their first EP arrived on the same label, and this is the proper follow-up after six years. Vocals come from Spooky Ruño, with Kai Stone on bass, Paula Darias on drums and Alexandra Graves on guitar. The lyrics move between English and Spanish across the five tracks.

One cut answers the gender policing aimed at athletes like Imane Khelif. Another, "All We Got Is Us", treats solidarity as a practice rather than a pose. No tour dates or further releases are announced.
