This Is The Kit share "Safety Valve," a Richard Dawson duet from Ghost Coat

This Is The Kit have shared "Safety Valve," a duet between Kate Stables and Richard Dawson, as the second single from Ghost Coat. The album lands January 15 on Memphis Industries, following lead single "Skip A Stone."

The pairing was the point. Stables said she had been wanting Dawson on a This Is The Kit record and had to work up to the request. "I had been dreaming of asking Richard Dawson to sing on the new record and somehow managed to pluck up the courage to ask him to sing on this track," she said. "He graciously accepted the challenge and it immediately turned it into one of my favourite songs on the album." In the same statement she describes the song as being for the people who show up: the friend who listens and does not judge, and the bike ride that fixes the rest of it.

Ghost Coat is up for pre-order now. Nothing else from the record has been announced beyond the two singles.
