Adrian Carpenter drops debut drone album recorded with no computer

Adrian Carpenter put out his first ambient and drone album, Drones and Drones, on September 14, 2026. It's a free download on Bandcamp in the United States at 24-bit/44.1kHz, and it appears on Apple Music with the same date.

The method is the story. Carpenter recorded each track dawless, one take per song, no edits, no computers, running an ASM Hydrasynth Deluxe and a Sequential Prophet Rev2 into a Zoom R16. "No AI is ever used," he stated in the announcement.

Eight songs, starting with Windy Day at 06:54 and ending with Noises in a cave at 05:49. In between: Ocean, CID (Consistently inconsistent drone), Contemplation, Drone, Heartbeat and Horror Homage, the shortest at 02:51. Free is free.
