Land of Talk announce sixth album LASTS, share "4:44"

Land of Talk announced their sixth album LASTS, out 13 November 2026 via Saddle Creek, and released the lead single "4:44". The single is out now.

The song was recorded in a cabin in rural Harrington, Quebec. Elizabeth Powell wrote and produced it, with Michael Feuerstack on bass, pedal steel, engineering and mixing, and Michael Belyea on drums and percussion. It started as one of the first songs cut at the cabin under the title "Harmonic Nation". Powell improvised the lyrics in the studio after reading misleading comments online about their personal and professional life.

"For a while I was questioning if I even knew my own story, my own lived experience," Powell said of the song. The album follows 2023's Performances and carries eight tracks: "Broken Tongue", "Saffron", "4:44", "Dogs", "Cats", "Projections", "Cedars", "Lasts". Powell formed Land of Talk in 2006.

LASTS is out 13 November 2026 via Saddle Creek. "4:44" is out now.
