Strange Pains drop "Lucifer Disguised" ahead of debut LP

Strange Pains released "Lucifer Disguised" on September 18, the first single from The Diamond District, Volume 1. The album was due today, September 18, and arrives October 16 on Best Brother Records as the first part of a planned two-LP set.

Strange Pains is Providence musician Ted Bradley, who plays in Joseph D'Agostino's band Empty Country. D'Agostino, former frontman of Cymbals Eat Guitars, produced, engineered, and mixed the record. Strange Pains previously put out "Memory Man" and "Walking With Yves."

Bradley says he started writing "Lucifer Disguised" the morning after he moved to Providence, his head rattling from the There Were Wires reunion at AS220 the night before. The walk home turned into something about identity, what accumulates and what sheds. He kept it in the second person.

The Diamond District, Volume 1 is out 10/16 on Best Brother Records as the first part of a planned two-LP set.
