Touching Ice sign to Technicolour and drop "Trace me on2 u"

Touching Ice signed to Technicolour, the Ninja Tune imprint, and released the single "Trace me on2 u" on 22 October. The LA trio are Abigail Reese, Dominic Colangelo and Davis Stewart. It is out now.

The track started as a rescue job. The band say they had spent the day in the studio grinding on other songs and hitting a wall, so Mike (CFCF) started messing around in Ableton and landed one of the main synth lines. The vocals went down on the spot at Dom's house. Lyrically they point to Title Fight and Sebadoh, and to what they call a distinctly feminine angst pulled into a dance song.

It follows their June remix project, 100 of the Best EDM Songs. The band call it their first "big kid" release on the label.

More is coming on the road: a run of live dates will include their first UK/EU tour. No dates or venues have been announced.
